Held at Rainbow Lagoon Park (E Shoreline Drive) in Long Beach from June 24-25, the Bayou Festival is a weekend of authentic music, dancing, food, and more all inspired by New Orleans and the Lousiana Bayou Country.
Foodies will love the Cajun and Creole dishes and music lovers will delight listening to Zydeco and Blues. If you have a thing for dancing, then start practicing your best dance moves since the New Orleans Traditional Jazz Band will be playing throughout the day and well into the night. We all know just how exciting Memorial Day weekend can be. After all, we’ve been looking forward to it nearly all spring long. It’s a 3-day weekend and it marks the beginning of the summer season! One way you can do just that is by heading over the Norwalk’s Memorial Day Tribute Ceremony, which will take place on May 29th from 10:30 am to Noon. This year, the City of Norwalk will be unveiling the newest art installation, the “Freedom Memorial.” There will be a keynote speaker who will deliver an inspiring message to the community.
